Titanium Grade 2 (Ti Gr 2) is a commercially pure titanium alloy with excellent corrosion resistance, high strength-to-weight ratio, and good formability. Its composition primarily includes 99% titanium with small amounts of iron (0.1-0.2%) and oxygen (0.18-0.40%). The mechanical properties of Ti Gr 2 include a tensile strength of 345 MPa, yield strength of 275 MPa, and elongation of 20%. It has a density of 4.51 g/cm³ and can withstand temperatures up to 400°C. This makes it ideal for aerospace, marine, and chemical processing applications where strength and durability are critical.
