UNS S31254 Sheets and Plate is a highly alloyed austenitic stainless steel composed of 20-22% chromium, 18-20% nickel, 6-8% molybdenum, and small amounts of nitrogen, with traces of manganese, silicon, and carbon. This composition gives it superior corrosion resistance, particularly in chloride environments. The material offers impressive mechanical properties, with a tensile strength of around 650 MPa (94 ksi) and a yield strength of 290 MPa (42 ksi). It also has excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. The alloy remains strong and durable in high-temperature environments, making it ideal for chemical, marine, and petrochemical applications.
